NARLabs, in collaboration with academia and various industries, is addressing these complex global-scale issues introducing technologies and solutions with the potential to solve these problems.
Thus, NARLabs is responding to the impact of climate change and frequent natural disasters by building not only a monitoring network dedicated to observing the Earth's environment via satellites, but also the capability to maintain long-term observations of the oceans and a significant dataset on marine environments.
Further, NARLabs has established core facilities and R&D platforms for the improvement of critical typhoon and flood disaster forecast technologies, as well as having developed advanced seismic technologies that aims to significantly mitigate earthquake damage.
With our Earth and Environmental Monitoring Network, early warnings can be issued before disasters strike. Thereby, NARLabs can work to protect and sustain society despite the continual threat of natural disasters in Taiwan and across the entire Pacific Rim.
