National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) intends to recruit foreign researchers to increase the recruitment and employment of foreign researchers in order to improve innovative research capacity and to promote the cultivation and exchange of personnel.
Application is opened for working on the 4 fields, including (1) Earth & Environment, (2) Information & Communication Technology, (3) Biomedical Technology, (4) Science & Technology Policy.
Salary and Subsidy
The researcher’s salary is based on the salary scale of NARLabs. The airfare and relocation subsidies for newly-arriving researchers shall be determined in accordance with the Guidelines for Subsidies for Recruiting Foreign Researchers of NARLabs.
Period of Employment and Appraisal
In principle, the period of employment is one year with annual renewal and the maximum period of employment is three years. If the researcher's performance rating is excellent, after the end of the employment provided in the preceding paragraph, the employment may be renewed once. However, the total employment period shall not exceed six years.
One month before the end of the employment, the researcher is required to submit the results of the research and the evaluation form of the research performance from the research unit to NARLabs as a reference for each research unit to assess the renewal of the subsequent year and the work remuneration.
Recruitment and Employment Process
NARLabs will publish a recruitment notice each year. There are two submission periods per year, applications shall be submitted by April 30 or October 31 of such year.
Results will be notified within 2 months of receiving the application.
