Preparation for the AFLAS congress one step forward

A preparatory meeting for the 4th congress of the Asian Federation of Laboratory Animal Science Associations (AFLAS) was held at Taipei International Convention Center on September 11. A total of 30 conceed scientists from six countries attended this meeting. In the meeting, Dr. San-Chi Simon Liang, Director General of the National Laboratory Animal Center (NLAC), was nominated as the chairperson for the congress organizing committee. The AFLAS congress will be held in Taipei, Taiwan in November 2010. And it is to be conducted in conjunction with the 5th conference of the Asian Mouse Mutagenesis Resource Association (AMMRA) and the 11th annual meeting of the Chinese-Taipei Society of Laboratory Animal Sciences (CSLAS). The joint conference is expected to attract 600 participants from nine Asian countries.
