The delegates of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation in English), accompanied by the representative of National Science Council in Bonn, Germany, visited the National Space Organization (NSPO) on April 17, 2009. The DFG delegation included the President, the Vice President, the Head of Central Administration Department, the Head of Research Centers Division, the Head of Research Careers Division, the Program Director in International Affairs Division, the Head of East Asia Section, and others. The DFG is the central, self-goveing research funding organization that promotes research at universities and other publicly financed research institutions in Germany. The DFG serves branches of science and the humanities by funding research projects and facilitating cooperation among researchers. During the visit, NSPO and DFG discussed the possible areas of future cooperation.
