Through various forms such as science popularization events on different topics, open houses, science education videos, etc., we aim to let more children and adults understand the scientific research being conducted at the NARLabs, whether in depth or superficially. It is hoped that through these science education efforts, we can enhance the public's understanding of science and technology, and foster a long-term improvement in the scientific literacy of society as a whole.

Civil IoT Taiwan

  • Hybrid virtual-physical exhibition. The physical exhibition is held in the National Taiwan Science Education Center.
  • Held by NARLabs Science & Technology Policy Research and Information Center (STPI), National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE), and National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC).
  • Physical exhibition was held from December 2020 until May 2021.
  • Virtual exhibition is still being held.

National Library of Public Information

  • Continuously displaying popular science content from various NARLabs centers since November 2016.
  • Interactive installations and displays that are fun for the whole family.


Secret Base of Scientists Exhibition

  • A diverse array of interactive games and popular science exhibits from various NARLabs centers.
  • Inspiring exhibits that show the public that science is fun and interesting.
  • Held in November 2018, July 2019, and August 2020.
  • Another 3-year exhibition started in March 2023 at the National Taiwan Science Education Center.

IC60 – I See the Future

  • A year after being held in Huashan 1914 Creative Park in 2018, this exhibition moved to The Pier2 Art Center.
  • This exhibit utilized a variety of themes to let the public get to know the development history of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.

  • Activities held irregularly. Please look out for announcements on social media and official websites.
  • These activities allow guests to visit research labs and research vessels.

Trailblazers-Stories from the Laboratory

  • Won Best Natural Science Documentary Show at the 52th Golden Bell Awards.
  • Depicts various major challenges that scientists encounter during the research process.
  • This ten-episode series was provided to middle, high, and vocational schools across the country.


Next, AI

  • Won Best Natural Science Documentary Show at the 57th Golden Bell Awards.
  • A documentary/drama science education film that combines science, the art of film-making, a love story, and the development history of AI in Taiwan.
  • Episode teasers were broadcast on the Formosa TV News network.
