NARL and KRCF forge an alliance for scientific research

On 15 June 2012, the National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL) and the Korea Research Council of Fundamental Science and Technology (KRCF) have entered a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that outlines a framework for 5-year bilateral cooperation on science and technology policy research, instrument and equipment technology, high-speed internet networking, information technology services, biomedical technology, nano technology and aeronautical satellite services to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results. The MOU was signed by the NARL President, Dr. Liang-Gee Chen, and the KRCF Chairman, Dr. Keon Kim.

Both NARL and KRCF are important national organizations, each with a number of affiliated area centers/institutes, for scientific research in Taiwan and Korea, respectively. And the MOU will serve to facilitate scientific dialogues and exchanges of visits with respect to development of collaborative research between the two organizations. The NARL’s signing of this MOU is part of its efforts toward strengthening the NARL’s capacity in forward-looking research, and cultivating the high-tech talents through domestic and international cooperation with academic and industrial sectors.
