With the IEEE Taipei Section's backing, the NARL's Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC) helped establish the Taipei Section Chapter of the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society (IEEE I&M Society) at the NARL-ITRC. The Taipei Section Chapter of the IEEE I&M Society is dedicated to the development and use of electrical and electronic instruments and equipment to measure, monitor and/or record physical phenomena in cooperation with the international partners. Dr. Din-Ping Tsai, the ITRC's director general, was appointed as the society’s first Chapter Chair during the dedication ceremony on October 14th.
