Upon Typhoon Parma's approaching Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau issued a sea warning on October 3rd and rescinded it on October 6th. During this 72-hour period, the researchers of Taiwan Typhoon and Flood Research Institute (TTFRI) have employed the Mesoscale Model 5 (MM5) and the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model for real-time forecasts of Typhoon Parma’s path and accumulated rainfall.
