NSPO and Taiwan’s academic communities participated in the 3rd Asian Space Conference during March 21-23 2007 in Singapore. The participants included United States, Russia, Germany, Great Britain, France, Australia, and many other representatives from Asia. NSPO was invited to present a keynote speech entitled “The Sparkling of FORMOSAT Series in Space” in the closing ceremony, which mainly promote the major achievements of Taiwan’s space technology. NSPO also was invited as a session chairman of conference and hosted the technical forum of “Recent Launches, National Space Systems and Infrastructures”. The ASC steering committee unanimously agreed that NSPO will host the Asian Space Conference 2008 in Taipei. This is a great opportunity for Taiwan to show the development and the accomplishment of Taiwan’s space technology. In addition, it is also an important milestone of Taiwan’s technology diplomacy.
