In order to cultivate researchers in Taiwan’s nanotechnology field, NDL and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) announced a collaborative agreement in the press conference held in National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL) on Oct. 19. The agreement establishes the “UMC-NDL Scholar Sponsorship Program”, which will offer financial assistance to qualified young talents conducting studies in the nanotechnology field. It’s anticipated that this program will further enhance Taiwan’s competitiveness in nanotechnology and the semiconductor industry.
